Du 14 au 26 septembre 2009, 108 photographes, jeunes et moins jeunes, étudiants d’aujourd’hui et d’hier, se donnent rendez-vous à l’Agora du Cégep du Vieux Montréal pour présenter une exposition de photographies sous le thème 40 ans d’histoire, 40 ans de photographie.
Cette exposition veut souligner l’histoire et l’évolution de la photographie québécoise des 40 dernières années, à travers un groupe dont le lien commun fut leur formation académique dans l’institution scolaire qui a produit les plus vastes cohortes de photographes au Québec, soit le Cégep du Vieux Montréal.
Jamais auparavant l’occasion ne fut plus belle pour présenter d’un point
de vue collectif le potentiel québécois en matière de création
photographique. En provenance de tous
les coins du Québec, 40 ans d’histoire, 40 ans de photographie
présente des photographes de diverses tendances et de générations
différentes.
